I am in my late 50s.  I have been working with Trainer Bob for the past four years.  My particular focus with Bob has been on strength training, primarily using free weights and a TRX.  Bob has been fantastic to work with.  He listens carefully to my goals and pushes me in an encouraging way.  Every 3-4 months Bob will introduce a new strength regimen.  We meet every 3-4 weeks to monitor and make adjustments to the workout plan.  Our meetings are light-hearted and fun, and I am motivated between sessions to show Bob what I have done since our last meeting.  Combined with a steady cardio routine and better eating habits I have lost over 20 lbs and two inches off my waist size over the past four years.  I have more energy and am proud of what I have accomplished, many thanks to Trainer Bob.  My wife is happy too!

I recommend Bob as a trainer because of the comprehensive knowledge that I gained during my training with him.  Bob looks at physical fitness as a way of life versus a short-term project or goal.  For years, I was working out; I was not losing any weight or toning my muscles.  After hiring Bob, which has encompassed several years, my best friend George and I trained and successfully completed our first marathon.  Bob designed our marathon training program, including the daily/weekly run schedule.  The best part about training with Bob is that he is a living example of what he does for a living.  For example, Bob not only came to the marathon to cheer us on and support us, he actually ran the last half of the race (13 plus miles) with us to give us the support we needed to finish the race.  No big deal you might think, but he had not even trained to run with us!

I have trained with Bob since 2003 and I am in the best shape of my life! My flexibility has increased, and I am much stronger with both my cardiovascular and muscular strength. Bob continues to mix up our personal training sessions by varying activities and intensities, so there is never a boring, or easy workout.  Bob has been also able to tailor my workouts around life; such as when I was pregnant he designed a pre-natal program that kept me and baby healthy through all nine months but also enabled my body to bounce back after my daughter was born. We had been runners for 30 years when we first started working out with Bob so we thought we were in good shape.  Through his coaching and advice, we quickly learned that running in itself was not enough, especially as we approached our "golden years".  One of our first goals was to do a Sprint Triathlon.  Bob helped us to train for the event, not only through our regular workouts, but also provided the training schedule and mental coaching we needed to gain the confidence to get it done. I have been training with Bob since 2005 and have nothing but great things to say about my experience. I have always been active and had worked with trainers before but never had that "ah ha!" moment of both seeing great results AND the mind shift of going from wanting to be skinnier to wanting to be healthier. Bob was able to provide me with great tools to be successful. Not only did he train the physical part of my body but helped with the mental part as well. He taught me to make better food choices, helped train me for a triathlon and ½ marathon, and made me understand that there are times when your body needs a break- so take them.
